Manchester City is reportedly prepared to accept a €40 million transfer bid for one of their players as Barcelona becomes increasingly impatient

Manchester City are in the final stretch of the summer transfer window, which closes this Friday. They are still open to completing deals before the deadline, whether it involves incoming or outgoing transfers. Clubs often use this period to finalize last-minute moves to strengthen their squads or balance their books.

Manchester City are reportedly willing to accept an offer of £40 million for Matheus Nunes if such an offer comes in before the transfer window closes. This indicates that City might be open to negotiations or offloading Nunes if the right bid is made.

Matheus Nunes, who joined Manchester City last summer, had limited playing time, making only 17 appearances in central midfield throughout the season. Pep Guardiola preferred to stick with his established midfielders, which left Nunes on the periphery of the first-team squad. This lack of significant playing time might be influencing City’s openness to a transfer offer for the 25-year-old.

This season, Matheus Nunes has had only brief appearances for Manchester City, reflecting ongoing challenges in securing a regular spot in the squad. Consequently, Football Insider reports that Manchester City would be willing to sell Nunes if a suitable bid is made, suggesting they are open to transferring him out if the right offer comes through.

Manchester City have established their asking price for Matheus Nunes and are now waiting for potential buyers. However, given his limited playing time, finding a suitable offer might be challenging. Teams might be cautious or offer less due to his lack of regular first-team action.

Barcelona are reportedly prepared to abandon their pursuit of Joao Cancelo after failing to meet Manchester City’s £21 million valuation, according to Mundo Deportivo. Although Cancelo is willing to accept a wage cut to facilitate a move to Barcelona, City remains firm on their asking price, complicating negotiations.

Additionally, there have been reports of interest from Saudi Arabia in Cancelo, but it’s uncertain whether he would be open to a transfer to the Middle East. This situation leaves Cancelo’s immediate future uncertain as the transfer window nears its end.
